Im using nero6.0.0.18 and am getting lot of problems with dvd media not burning. some do some dont!does anyone know a definitive way of finding out if a particular type of dvd will work or not b4 spalshing out on a ten pack? fpr example princo-r will not burn, werbatim -r will but no verbatim+r
the media that you use for your burner depends on your burner and what it will take...... what's the make and model of your burner? Also, how about posting your nero logs so we can see exactly what went wrong!
Here are two different logs using different media types. thanks for your help Windows XP 5.1 IA32 WinAspi: - ahead WinASPI: File 'C:\Archivos de programa\Ahead\nero\Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=2.0.1.74, size=164112 bytes, created 02/11/2004 12:54:32 NT-SPTI used Nero Version: 6.6.1.4 Internal Version: 6, 6, 1, 4d Recorder: <BENQ DVD DD DW1620> Version: B7W9 - HA 1 TA 0 - 6.6.1.4 Adapter driver: <IDE> HA 1 Drive buffer : 2048kB Bus Type : default (0) -> ATAPI, detected: ? first off I would use a stable version of Nero 6: Before udating to 6.6.0.18 I would save the serial #, uninstall Nero, then use the cleaning tools : http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/eng/Clean_Tools.html then do a registry clean up and defrag...... then reboot! install package one: http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe then install package two: http://www.nero.com/nero6/eng/Patch_for_NVE3.html then reboot! it is definately your Princo disk! It doesn't like it! You could try burning at 4x or just get better media! you can't go wrong with the Verbatim disks (although they are made in Taiwan/Singapore they are top notch!) or go with the Made in Japan rule! Check your lable on the spindle or box and make sure it says Made in Japan. Sony, Fuji, Maxell in the stores or online store get the best: Taiyo Yuden! you have only a small amount of RAM.... An upgrade is very helpful and will stop a lot of errors that might be cause because of too much processing time! You are at the minimum of 256! I'd upgrad to 1G! At least shut down all unnessissary programs running in the background and don't multitask or go on the internet and shut your virus protection down! and why is your logs not showing EXISTING DRIVERS? did you delete that?
I know there is problems with media and i will have to upgrade ram, but as for drivers that is straight from the log. i think maybe I am using windows drivers and not manufacturers, but that is onl guess. thanks
ok..... just reinstall Nero 6 ...... just like I told you with the stable version of Nero in the above reply! this might fix your problems.......follow the instructions above! good luck!
