    Hello Everyone,

I just received my new pc in the mail this week and I was really excited until I started to try to play some games on it. Every game I seem to load up has some severe problems with choppy looking like graphics whenever I look around (especially in first person games). It's almost like it would take a second for it to catch up when you look around and create this jaggy like image with no drop in FPS. I've tried games as new as Portal and as old as Morrowind and it happens in every one of them!

I'm using an AMD Athlon 6000+, Geforce 8600gt and an LG w1952 widescreen monitor so it should be able to get the job done!

Any help on the subject would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Joe

Is Vsync turned on in the control panel?

What is the mm response time on your monitor. If its not 8 or less milliseconds then that is your problem.

I took a look at that monitor and its 2ms so that is good. You have a nice system. Its just got to be some setting on your graphics card. Just make sure you have the right drivers installed and maybe download the latest. Then I would just mess around in the Nvidia Control Panel with some of those settings and yes definately turn off the Vertical Sync. Hopefully thats already worked for you.

How much RAM do you have? If you dont have enough you'll probably notice when you look to a new area the game will stutter and you will see some hard drive activity
