    Hi All

this is my first post and hopefully you can help me. My sister is coming over to visit for a week, she has chorus at home (the country version) I was just wondering that as I have a satelite dish that I am not using and have a clear line of sight to the colon mast (co louth) is it possible to use this by turning it towards the mast and connecting her box up?

    thanks cactikid,

but I was looking at her setup which is using megahertz which is what satellite dishes use, so am I right in saying that the signal should be the same if I connect the cable to the chorus box. In your reply you said cable box which chorus is using in the city but out in the country it is like wireless broadband and they have to put up an ariel/ dish on the side of your house

The lnb at a sat dish is not able to handle a mmds signal. Thats a different frequency range.

The LNB is a reciever in its own right It amplifies the signal and sends it to the sat box thats why you have a voltage on the sat cable either 13 volts or 18 volts switching the LNB from horz to vertical signals They are completly differernt systems
