Since I've been looking at the Dell XPS 15's, I have a few options. To boil it down to the way I see it, I can get a dual core i5 with a higher clock speed, or I can get a quad core i7 with a lower clock speed (not for the same price obviously). The second gen i-series come with what I understand as a sort of built-in overclock feature, which may compensate for the lower initial clock speed of the quad.

My question is this: should I look at clock speed alone, (since there are still some games out there that don't take advantage of 4 cores) or go with something that my be a bit slower but more... (how should I say) future-proof?
