Okay, so I took the original ROM, used the cheat, ran it through DSATM, and got another ROM file, arm7.bin and arm9.bin.

I then used DSLazy to unpack the original ROM, and replaced both arm7.bin and arm9.bin of the original, and then repacked it. I left the .nds file that was created by DSATM alone.

I now find that the game is 81.0 MB in size, but works perfectly. I have not experienced the endless time warp bug, and I got through the Cathedral dungeon with Frog.

I just want to know 3 things: Did I do things right, and if not, will this be a problem? Have other people also wound up with a smaller file, and if so, does it negatively impact the game? (Missing movies or parts of the game).

    Thanks for your responses!

    EDIT: Oh, and I have a R4.

Basically what you did was a roundabout way of trimming the rom. DS roms are always specific sizes. 8, 16, 32, 64 or 128mb. But not all of that is the game, some is just padding to fill it out to the next size it will fit in.

Chrono trigger is a little over 80mb. Since that dosent fit in a 64mb rom it is padded out to 128. Trimming removes the filler data.
