See I know that Verizon Wireless has the best coverage area and they are a bit pricy about the phones. Cingular has a low coverage area, but it has some quality cheap phones. My question is the phones itself. I want to know which one is better, the Samsung x497 with Cingular or the Verizon Wireless/Audiovox CDM-8615 with Verizon Wireless. I am having a hard time choosing between the two. I need to know which phone will give me the [bold]least[/bold] amount of problems. [bold](P.S. THIS IS JUST FOR PREPAID ONLY!!!)[/bold]
Maybe another angle you need to think about it is whether you want GSM service or CDMA. If you go with CIngular, they offer GSM service, which enables you to unlock the phone, take it with you to a different country ( provided the frequency is compatiable) or if you know for sure you are only going to use it in the USA and only use verizon, then CDMA is good. GSM phones enable you to go over to Tmobile or other GSM providers in the USA at any time. I figured this way you can try out the whole GSM networks in the USA or the CDMA verizon. I hope I havent confused you anymore. Feel free to contact me if you need more information. Good luck on the hunt.
So which service would you perfer, the GSM service or the CDMA service. Really I am looking towards the GSM service and I think that it is a great service. The only thing is, Cingular only has one phone that I like.
The advantage of cingular is that you can use their phone temporarily and maybe purchase a phone you like online and unlock it Keep in mind that you will have to make sure that the phone you want to purchase on ebay or elsewhere will work on the GSM frequency.
