I currently have cIOSX rev 14 installed on my wii and I have heard of cIOS rev 19 as the new upgrade. My question: is it safe and recommended to upgrade to cIOSX rev 19 and are there other upgrades I should be aware of in keeping up to date?
Thank you, I have a white north american wii with 4.2 softmod through Larry's guide. Neogamma R7, using CFG Usb Loader ver 0.3.5, and do not have priloader (I hear I should also have this installed too).

Its safe to update to rev19 using cIOSX249 . Its also supports fat32 for the harddrive partion . I would recommend you update to the newest version of ConfUSBLoader aswell . Im not sure if rev19 is supported by your current usb loader .

Priiloader is good because if you ever mess up you Wii and cant access HomeBrewChannel to get too Bootmii it will let you boot straight to it or boot to other .dol files . It also has other options to prevent system updates which could wipe your softmod .

Only problem am aware of with cIOS rev 19 is that triforce is not compatible with it.
You would think an update would be out by now.

Has cIOS38/cIOSX Rev 14's dual-layer problem been resolved in Rev 19? I'm really curious to know if it's finally possible to run dual-layer games with NeoGamma. I'm not going off topic, am I? I also think I've heard somewhere that 'Monster Hunter Tri' has issues with Rev 19. As far as I know, when you start Story Mode you get a black screen and a loud buzzing noise.

i've had the problem with MHTri when first starting. best to do is to use cIOSX_rev20 with base56, and install base ios37 on ios250. if ios249 doesn't work, you have a fallback option on 250.

go to the second settings page in configurable usb loader. it'll show on the bottom in grey what IOS is installed.
