I have a Ipod classic 80gb and i just want to ask a few questions about Ipod hacking: 1. Can i hack a classic ipod? If So: 2. Is it illegal/can you get caught by apple? 3. Will you loose your pre-loaded games (Klondike, Ipod Quiz, Vortex) 4. Is it worth the whole process just to get free games? 5. How do i do this? and where is a good tutorial for doing this?
1. Not really no. Seems like ipod classic is having the least exploits built for it. 2. Yes it's illegal, and can you get caught? Well it sort of depends on how you mod it. Since the ipod firmware is closed source it's illegal if you modify their stuff however. If rockbox were to build a port to ipod:c then it wouldn't becuase they keep the original firmware they just add a bootloader and a new fw. 3.again, depends on what you do to mod it. 4.that's a personal opinion. If i could loose all my ipod games and install rockbox, i'd go for it. 5. idk, I don't think they're any developed for it.
