Over the course of this computer I am sure I have installed over 100 different codecs / codec packs :p

Between switching from codec to codec I have done my best to completely rid of the previous one; I uninstall, delete residue files, and use Registry Mechanic and Crap Cleaner.

It seems now I am having many weird error, most like due to interference between the residue of codecs I have tryed so hard to rid of.

I am hoping someone can help me out and point me in the direction to a Codec Cleaner, if there is one. If you've ever used Driver Cleaner Pro, you know what I mean...

If there is no such thing, is there any guide I can follow to fix my problem? After this is over I am going to follow the Afterdawn guide to getting all my codecs installed. Thanks--

A simple way is to download and install K-Lite Codec Pack (full or mega version). Before installing, it would check and suggest to remove any codecs in the pc that might interfere with the pack.

    Hope this would help.

This method didn't work well, all it did was it uninstalled my Real Player. Any other ideas?

Best most effective method is to reformat. Then don't install any more codec packs.
