I was at a party and was stupid enough not to turn on the `night shot` mode on my DV video camera (OK, I`m a beginner but that`s not an excuse). Now I have snowy video material that`s impossible to compress because it gets blurred. I tried Virtual Dub`s filter temporal cleaner but it didn`t help. I also have Adobe Premiere Pro but I`m still not familiar with it. Is there anything that can be done?

Does ANYONE know? I`m kind of running out of time here.

You can't put back information that isn't there.
Removing the snow (even if it were possible) is going to result in a video that's missing a lot of information, and the quality will probably be worse than it is now.
I know of no filters that can really help.

If the Video has a Little Bit of Show and a slightly Grainy picture then it can usually be Filtered out but if the Image is very Snowy and has Lots of Grainyness and Noise then you are Pretty Much Out of Luck because as Rebootjim said it will filter out too much Video Information and leave you with a Picture that looks Worse than it did before Filtering or it will not be able to filter out enough Noise to make it look any Better.....

    Cheers

OK, thanks! Guess I`ll have to accept that part of my video isn`t going to look very well. I`m yet to see what`s going to happen with the "night shot" part.
