I know how to change file association, you go into folder options and yada yada...but I can't find the file type that's in there to change. I'm running 98SE and I need help restoring the file association back to not being associated with any files. How can I do this without having the ability to use Folder Options to do it? I appreciate the help. Or, is there any way to change the File Associations without going through Folder Options?

Also, note that I mean clearing one file from it's association, not an entire file type.

You can try this, it has information regarding changing file assocations. It's more for WindowsME...but it may work for 98. I know what you're asking, and I've done it before but I haven't fully used 98 for almost 5 years now.

Thanks for the link, but it didn't work. I did get it to work though, I just too a chance and edited the file extension and that made it work.
