I have a huge problem with media on my PS3. My PS3 seems to just remember what was on disc or on my media library and when I add new items it won't find them.

I had a disc with a bunch of .avi episodes on it, I later added a few more to the same disc, my PS3 finds all the old episodes but none of the new ones on the disc.

Any help with how to clear the PS3 cache?

I'd say the problem is with the disk, or possibly how it was burnt, try re-burning them all to a new dvd.

Oh btw "bumping" is against the forum rules.

Bumping = putting the thread back to the top.

And would it be better for me to open a new thread with the same subject? Doesn't seem logical.

Also, this is with a ton of stuff not just this disc. It is the same with streaming media players.

I burned the 1 file to a new disc and it worked fine but still, it like stores what is on the disc and then never looks for new information.......

Being patient makes more sense to me.

It was a disk issue and as for the media streaming you must refresh the library whenever you add new content.
