    Finally got it to work. Just used Shrink to analyze straight from the disc and then reauthored to do only the movie itself.

    @N2DVD..weird anydvd 6.0.7.0. gave me a error and said to check the disc conditon as if it were not clean ...downloaded anydvd 6.0.8.0 and it ran right thru it without a hitch.. i was thinking "Click" had a special type of protection because in dvd decrypter in the identifer tab it had "dvd after edit" ..go figure but i see a lot of people are having a hard time with this.

    I did just copy the movie few minutes ago. I copy the movie to the HD using DVD Decrypter (at the end of the process gave me an error but it did copy the whole movie). Then I used DVD Shrink but in Reauthor method, because the other way won't work. Then I selected the main movie and burn it. Great copy despite I lost the menu.

    DVDFab Decrypter + Nero = Full flawless backup. No problems whatsoever.

    I ripped Click to my hard drive with AnyDvd 6.0.8. but Shrink gave an Out of Memory error when I tried to analyze the ripped copy. I ran Shrink with the DVD in the drive(AnyDvd running in background) and analyzed it that way and it worked. Any idea what the difference is?

    p.s. this disk has got about 20 previews/trailers, that has to be close to a record.

    I had no problems ripping the movie...it's when I try to watch it. The commentary is playing the background, even when I select OFF for the commentary. Any ideas??

    @joe_b If your using AnyDVD and using the remove adverts and trailer feature "Go straight to main movie". This feature will sometime allow the commentary to play on your back up. Turn off this feature or change it to "Play from main menu". I encountered this problem with the movie TSOTSI which I believe was encrypted with either RIP GUARD or PUPPETLOCK. Making this feature change allowed me to complete my back up succefully. I have AnyDVD set to "Play from main menu" when backing up "Click" as well.:p

    CLICK has some nasty protections (i.e. ARccOS, Puppetlock, plus tons of corrupted cells). However, both DVDFAB and RipIt4Me can handle this as usual.

    Best of luck to all and happy burning.

    @MICHAELDG - Try analyzing with Shrink directly from the dvd in the drive (with AnyDvd running in the background), not from the ripped hard drive copy, I got it to work that way. Or you also might want to try downloading FixVTS and run the ripped copy through that.

    I'm stuck, too. Using RipIt4Me and DVD Decrypter, then Shrink...but Shrink won't open the files...claims a file is missing. Tried on 3 PCs, same error...and I'm getting the same error with 'Stay Alive'.

    Help!

    whitedog,

    If you want just the movie (Click) without the exra junk, try this....

    1)Using DVDfab decrypter rip the video files to your hard drive

    get DVDfab decrypter here;
    http://www.dvdidle.com/download/DVDFabDecrypter3020.exe

    here's a guide on use if needed;
    http://www.dvdshrink.info/dvdfab_decrypter.php

    2) Open the files using shrink (use the open files tab), once the files have been imported/opened, click on the reauthor tab and backup just the main movie and 5.1 AC3 english audio channel.

    here's a guide if needed on reauthoring;
    http://www.jlathamsite.com/dvd/DVDShrink3.htm

    Then burn the files to disk using DVD decrypter(ISO images) or nero.

    Yup good ole shrink with anyDVD and nero to burn No problem. Nero Recode is still burping. Recode hates Sony movies. I'm using Nero 6.6.0.18, anyone having success with recode in Nero 7 doing Sony movies with anyDVD.

    I use the AnyDVD Nero 7 Recode2 combination often and yes I sometime encounter issues backing up heavily encrypted titles primarily because unlike CloneDVD2, NERO has no built in decrypter, But in most cases the troubles I have encountered are issues of compression and in those cases I use CloneDVD2. AnyDVD takes out all the coaster producing guess work in backing up a given film. Though the cheat sheets or tutorials provided by members here are good for those who need them I would say AnyDVD, CloneDVD2, along with RipIt4Me (FreeWare)are anyones best bet for backing up the SONY Arccos & Macrovision RipGuard packed films produced today. All the combination software used in backing up one film sounds detering. Our friends at SlySoft really work ahead of the game to make backing up the most complicated films a one two step and done right the 1st time and off to watching and enjoying the finished result. Oh just a heads up, The Break-Up is also loaded w/Macrovision RipGuard and again no trouble for AnyDVD.:p STAN I AM.

    Thanks folks. Not sure what the issue is/was, but AnyDVD and disc-to-disc via Shrink worked fine.

    Hey I too tried everything mentioned! I tried AnyDVD and all that crap and the only thing that worked for me was using the RipItForMe Mix up

    Here's the link that helped me get a perfect crystal clear copy!!

    Thanks to AfterDawn!! :)
