Hi all. I just downloaded these to give a try after my other programs failed to copy Eight Below. The movie is 2 hours long and I always try to use DL media when a movie is 2+ hours. When I try to write the files I get an error message that there isn't enough room on the media. I was able to write this movie at 4.7 (transcoder enabled) but when I choose the DVD 9 option I get the error at the start of the "write" cycle. Any clues? I have used my lite-on DL burner and Ridata DL media (-R) with no problems in the past. regards ~Marc
Just a little more info, the error message I get is: Source data too large. I can go back and select the 4.7 disc and it goes right thru, but If I select dual layer disc then I get the error message, Anyone else run into this? Suggestions? regards ~Marc
Version 2.8.9.9 I've looked thru the manual and couldn't even find a reference to changing the settings from 4.7 to DL. I assume it will burn DL discs because they have it listed. BTW, when I start it running I get the message: "Target size sufficient, transcoder disabled", but when it tried to burn I get the "Too large" message. regards ~Marc
Hi, Are you cloning the whole disc. If not one of the files you've removed may be leading you down this path. If you're cloning whole DVD intact, try CloneCD (that's not a mistake) instead. I have not got Eight Below to try, so as to see what's going on. Good luck.
Since then I've tried to backup other DVD titles on a DL disc with the same result, so it's something in the program. Now I have another issue: Until last night I had 18 days to go on the trial membership, but I uninstalled and reinstalled the program and it now says my trial period is over. Any DVD, which I downloaded and installed at the same time still works, but clone DVD says "NO". I have another computer I can try it on as it probably wrote something to my registry, but if it doesn't do dual-layer disc I may search for something else. regards ~Marc
