Clone DVD has gone from doing DVD's in 18 min. to 82 minutes. I have 3 Comps all set up pretty much the same. Only difference on this one is Mobo. I've checked DMA switched IDE cables switched drives both rom and burner. Funny thing is I can run through Nero Recode in 23 minutes start to finish. I have uninstalled ANY DVD and Clone and reinstalled it. I've ran all virus scans HIJ spyware. The hard drives clean 260 gig open defragged , scan disked CC cleaner.Lost on this any suggestions? Chris
what DVD are you trying to do and make sure all your programs are the up to date versions. If your DMA is on then there has to be some other problem. Maybe it's the disk itself and the drive is having reading problems with it?
Tryed drives from other computers all firmwares up to date [ Plextor 716, Benq 1650 ] media Ty's & Verbs Rip to hard drive first doesn't matter run through any software I want as long as it's not Clone DVD 2 and it's fast.Is there a hidden setting in Clone or a pathway for Clone thats different? Nothing on that computers been changed, the only thing is I used some of the Sonys 21's MIJ on it. I can take the ext. and int. drives off it and put in the other comps and no problems it seems to all lead back to Clone on this one computer the only thing I haven't done is gone back into the Bios. Also doesn't matter on any movie. Chris Went to Micro Center last night and picked up another Mobo and gonna install this afternoon and see what happens wasn't real thrilled with this ECS board when I got it any ways.
CloneDVD2 is a very stable program..... there's something else going on! must be a conflict somewhere that's making it soooooo slow!
I agree with [bold]IHoe[/bold] CloneDVD 2 is extremely "stable". I have never seen CloneDVD 2 take that long. Even doing a Dual Layer DVD+R DL it has never taken that long. [bold]ChrisC586[/bold] Forgive me for asking this, but you DO have the "purchased" keys from Slysoft don't you? The only reason I ask, is because most all Slysoft software issues semm to trace back to "bad keys" My own experience is that CloneDVD 2 is faster and yields better results than Nero Recode. I have both. The fact that you can do your back-up that fast with Recode pretty much rules out a hardware problem. If it was Hardware, it would not matter which software you use. Good luck and post back if you need our help.
@ bunnyrip No offense taken But I'm probably one of the few that has ANY DVD and Clone keys bought for each computer I've never had a problem with Clone or Any DvD except for that Computer recently right now it's loading up windows on the new Mobo and I'll know shortly if it had to do with that Mobo.Chris
Well It's back to normal replaced Mobo every thing else kept original[vid card, processor, memory, drives etc.]Clone runnin wild again. Chris
