Just purchased another Eurovox PVR from a online retailer.This is my first purchase from this retailer,and the first thing that I noticed was that the box it came had not got the shiny finish that the other units had.Was just wondering if this was a clone or not,anyonr out there have any feedback on this.
Why not either throw some pics up or give more detail. Do not think pictures will show anything out of the ordinary. Detail wise, found it difficult to insert the serial connection to download my CDF files took several downloads to get it working,also the mains connection keeps falling out when you move it ever so slightly,when changing channels there is a very slight clicking sound, small thing I know but the outer cardboard box is the real difference, cardboard quality wise and finish on the box,for want of a better word does not have the laminated effect or finish.
Where did you get it from mate? any normal tell tail signs when looking through the vents, ie red paint on board screws, twisted wires instead of ribbon, any green caps on PSU?
Hi HiTeck, Will not say were I purchased from until I am 100% sure it is a clone. If it proves to be one,I will then name and shame. Will have a closer look inside the box tonight to see if I can see any of the above. Will keep you informed. Thanks.
Had a look around inside the box through the grills on the top of the box and everything seems to be in order.Cannot open the box because of the EV anti tamper seal,"new box, warranty issue" seems to be working away at present,so I suppose I will just have to wait and see. Just one last thing it has the current firmware for ROI so I think that is a good sign.
