clone starview got sound no picture

    can any1 help. my starview box keeps shutting off then comin back on. in the display itjust shows singledigits i.e. 1 then it will shut off come back on then shuts off comes back on shows a letter i.e t then shuts down. it just repeats this process over and over. any help would be much appreciated.thanks peace

    what firmware have you got on it and you sure its a clone

    its definately a clone 18x7 vents firmware im not sure about

    go into system info and post what it says have you put new firmware on it in the last year

    it says API ver:2.57e_E boot ver 7.0

    well maybe you should put the new firmware onto it ... you will need a null modem cable db9f to db9f and if you dont have a serial port you will need a usb to rs232 adaptor and that would have to be installed with a little disc you get with it ... the firmware you need is cryptstar 257 bin file and the software is gtrom loader v4 and you can get it all in this link also download the tutorial its all in the starview folder in here http://www.4shared.com/dir/3042613/f6e3421c/sharing.html but for now maybe you should do a factory reset 0000 and another scan and maybe turn your box off for a bit and see what happens

    Sounds like a problem with the C11 capacitor on the PSU board.
