Im having major problems when i try to run CloneDVD, first of all it takes almost 3 hours to complete a movie, and when it is ripping it for the first 2 hours i cannot do anything on my computer because it slows it down so much. I have a Intel CPU @ 1.83 GHz dual core, w/ 1 Gb of RAM.... I have a friend that has a sony vaio that runs the program and can get a dvd ripped and burned in half hour w/o any slowdown of his computer and he has 500mb of RAM and a 1.73 GHz non dual processor...
it dosnt always matter about that stuff. Your computer could be just as fast if you: 1. Didnt try to use the computer while the program is running 2. Run your computer protection first to see if your computer has any infections (i.e. malware or trojans) that will slow down your computer. Tell me, what sort of protection do you have? 3. Have a look at your task mannager and your task bar to see if there are any unused programs open. If there are programs open that you dont need because you arent on the computer, you should close them, this (depending on the program) will help. 4. The last is right click your C drive and see how much space you have left on the computer. If your computer is too full it will run slow. If this is the case you should remove unwanted junk from your computer and defragment your computer. My computer is slower than yours, but it can burn stuff faster that yours because i do this stuff.
1. Its not so much using my computer when the program is running, when the program is running it goes very very slow 2. I scanned and got nothing back, i use trend micro pc-cillian 3. I changed my startup to get rid of any unused programs, uninstalled sonic dlm, and made sure no unused programs were still open. 4. Ive got a little over 30 gigs left on the hd
ternd micro won't find anything if what you have is malware or trojans. My experience of the program is that it looks for spyware, which (although useful) doesnt help. use ewido, look it up on google. If that turns out nothing then I cannot help you.
