When using DVD Decrypter/DVD Shrink it seemed faster when I had the movie being loaded on my external hard drive. Has anyone done the same thing using AnyDVD/CloneDVD and noticed any diferance? ---cope

As compared to being loaded on an internal hard drive or ripped from the DVD itself. Are you using a laptop with a slow internal HD?

Hard drive is not slow, I am ripping to hard drive and then burning from that. Mabie there was a diferance with decrypter/shrink because it loaded movie then shrank it from that.

I did a test to find out which way is faster. I used Hoodwinked as the test DVD. I backed up the whole disc first loading to hard drive on comp and burning from that, total time was 37.02 min then I did the same going to an external hard drive total time 41.21 min so it is a little faster to go to HD on comp. ---copecope---
