I have a question regarding an error message I have gotten several times recently while trying to back up a few older DVDs. I have CloneDVD2 and ANYDVD, I used Taiyo Yuden 8X blanks, I burn at 4X. On several DVDs near the end of when CloneDVD2 is writing the files I get the following message; Processing Error D:/VIDEO_TS/TVS_01_VOB read error incorrect function If reading the media has failed please clean the surface and try again. My question is does this error message only come up if the disc is scratched or dirty or is there another possible reason? I noticed that one of the discs did have a pretty good scratch but several others seemed pretty good with some very minor scratches, I did clean them off and I was surprised it didn't work. Any suggestions or comments appreciated. Thanks.
@dks119 Some could have really bad scratches, sometimes CloneDVD 2 gives problems like for me it gave the same error with Blade Trinity, all i have to do is get another copy. Sometimes the manifacturer makes them a badly pressed copy, and thats wat gives the error. Just get another copy and it should b fine.
