Hi guys.My clonedvd2 (2.8.9.9) has decided that it doensnt want to shutdown when its done its burn, and still says its running when not on screen or even in Task manager. Its also decided that it doesnt want to show one filmstrip screen at a time but half of the previous, the full current, and half of the next screen. It also resizes its window when it feels like it.Despite the usual blah of removal re install re format etc its still douing it.Is clone alive, or am i paranoid. Its getting personal now!!!any help gratefully recieved

you said you installed then uninstalled and reinstalled and it's still running wacky? when you uninstalled did you do a registry clean up, and reboot before you reinstalled? this would wipe out all your previous things left behind when you uninstalled the program. I would even do a virus scan before reinstalling because CloneDVD2 should not go wacky like that. Sounds like something in windows is interfering with the program. or a virus of some sort. or just something that didn't install right. CloneDVd2 is a very stable program. I know that when it has that SUCCESSFUL BURN/EJECT notice screen where the button to eject the disk is then you can hit that button, the disk ejects and then you can "X" it to shut down. If it doesn't do that then something is wrong with the installation. Is this a pirated copy? Sometimes this happens with unauthorized copies of programs. That's why I always buy my programs so things like this DON'T happen.

Hi, thanks for replying.Even after a reformat and reinstall with nothing else on the drive it still played up.Its a legit program but quite old, and ive got a feeling that the exe is corrupt. It was by download and i have no disc.I think ill re buy and give it a whirl. It was fine for ages, but the only thing i can think of that was any differant that coincided with my probs was when i switched from xp home to pro.strange.thanks again.
