After you click on copy dvd titles onto your hard drive you go to the next screen showing the movie and what is being copied. On the bottom of the screen right in the middle it says quality and in the drop down box it has DVD-5. The drop down has DVD+R DL, MINI DVD, DVD-RAM, and custom. What is the difference betwwen the dvd-5 and dvd+r dl? may be a stupid question but then again i am a newbie.

A DVD-5 is a single sided, single layer DVD that holds about 4.38 GB of data. A DVD+R DL is a single sided double layer DVD that holds about 8.5 GB.

Afterdawn has a glossary that explains some of the various terms.
