I'm a big fan of AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 -- I think they are, by far, the best on the market. However, when I backup my DVD's -- why does CloneDVD automatically connect to the internet? And what is it connecting to? Just wondering. Thanks

I would say it's automatically connecting looking for any new updates. There should be something you can do to prevent this but I will leave that up to the experts.

OK found it, when you open Clone, go to preferences and uncheck the box that instructs it to search for updates.
