I think I just burned my first coaster. The game doesn't play and I am not sure why. Could anyone suggest possible reasons for this.
Load Alcohol 120 and go to emulation options>tick ignore media type and bad sectors emulation. LEAVE Alcohol 120 running in system tray and load the backup in your LG burner, If you used the Safedisc 2.0 profile (datatype) when you read the image/write, game should install and play without error. Many LG burners can't read ATIP causing play and install errors. To see if your LG model can read ATIP, go to CD/DVD Manager, locate your LG (to the left) and have a disc in your burner and click disc. Shoey
When i run the dvd manager it reads the dis in the burner. I just burned another coaster. I installed it and it said Please Insert CD. I did everything correct, so i don't know why it is still not working?
Did you try and play your backup in your dvd\cd-rom? This has me puzzled now... Did you install the virtual stealth drive? Go to options>extra emulation and check all 3 (bad sector, sub-channel data fixed emulation, and laserlock emulation then minimize to system tray and then insert backup in your LG burner and see if the backup will play. Shoey ~O-O~
Damn, I tried that and it doesnt work either. I didnt change the options because all 3 were already checked off. But, I put the game into my Cd/DVD drive and it still said Insert CD (with alochol in the system tray) Could it be anything else? Have you ever heard of this problem?
My backup of The Sims Unleashed (Safedisc2.8.x) works in my LG24x with these Alcohol settings: Emulation options>ignore media type, bad sectors emulation and laserlock emulation with Alcohol running is system tray. Another method here is to install the "original" cd to your hd from your LG, then play the backup in your LG. if that don't work, then use the virtual stealth drive and mount the image of High Heat Baseball with the emulation options mentioned above. These 3 emulation options should be turned ON, not OFF m8, lol. Shoey ~O-O~
The 3 emulations were on. I dont have the "original" on me. Is there any other reason why it is not working. When I scan the CD i burned with CLONE CD DATABASE, it says it is still protected by SafeDisc v2.8. Are there any other options? And if there are can you please expalin them fully.
Other option is to use the stealth virtual drive and mount the image you created and use the emulation options I mentioned above and see if you can play the game from your virtual stealth drive. Shoey
barkley, You should see a "physical" virual drive when you installed Alcohol 120%. Double click My Computer>AXV DVD\CD-Rom. If you don't see the virtual drive, then go to options>virtual drive>set virtual drive(s) to 1 or 2 (if needed). Now follow the above emulation settings I previously posted. Shoey
When i mount the image, with the 3 emulation options enabled i still get PLEASE INSERT CD ROM. What would be your guess as to what is wrong? Are you stumped?
The answer is no. Use the latest CloneCD and use this Safedisc 2.8.x profile. If you can't "amplify weak sectors" in the write process, them private message me. I have never used Clone Cd. Can you please tell me step by step how to use it in conjuction with Clony XXL?
Step by step is previously posted. You read the image (just like Alcohol 120) with the CloneCD read prefs. After reading the image then write the image with CloneCD write prefs. 1= check. email me if you encounter install or play errors. res19xtz@verizon.net Shoey
Do I load a CD that already has the image, why do I need to read the CD if I already have the .bin and .cue on my Hard Drive? Where do I enter these options you told me to enter?
A small contradiction there - The GCE-8520B (Hitachi) drive is indeed a 2 sheep burner, but it uses an IDE interface. According to your post, though, you're using SCSI. Could this be my problem?
