There are going to be the same games for the ps3 that looks better on the ps3, and the same game for 360 that is going to look better on the 360. Each consol is different, for sakes, there might be a game for the WII, which is a game for all consols, and its fastest and better looking on the WII, and look terrable on a PS3 or 360. To sum it up, some consols are just better at running something else. The AMD 64 would run some games better than an AMD FX2, but the FX2 would run games much better than the amd64 aswell. Perhaps this game does'nt work well with SPE'S but works will with triple cored processors...
PS3 vs 360 360 vs PS3 "end the argument" With any luck the link below will work, take a gander it's a good read http://dpad.gotfrag.com/portal/story/35372/?cpage=1
Thx for the link. After reading that I am very pissed with $ony. Those demos are fake. Infact if that article is correct 360 will have better graphics and will be easier to program.
The one thing in that article that stands out to me is the cpu's they're using in that they're both inferior to comp chips, that begs the question and makes me wonder if that's the reason xbox1 and PS2 games were glitchy and in your original post you mentioned stuff being stuck in mid air etc coz i've seen that happen in both consoles and some games were worse than others,a classic glitchy game with strange things happening would be castle wolfenstein tides of war or on PS2 it was called operation resurrection, then again it could be just poor coding as halo 2 i found to be shall we say glitch free (well almost, you'd have to play it a few times to find them)
i think the wii version is better myself i got a chance to play it juse on thursday at my local mall and man was i impressed i saw the ps3 version at my freinds house and i asked him where where the visuals we where promised and his response was i dont know we both thought the ps3 version is slow and bad frame rate really bad frame rate
I think it was cnet that did a review for graphics differences for the PS3 vs 360 on selected tv's ,there were slight differences and even tho the editors did'nt do a scientific type study the basic rule of thumb was it would take a trained eye to spot the differences, and considering gamer tv did a similar thing the outcome was pretty much the same ,to the laymen they were indistinguishable
So basically this is the deal. PS3 and 360 are similar specs. Games on neither platform will look much better than the other. Sony yet again have lied about their system and presented game demos which had nothing to do with PS3. Sony should be sued for misleading people. If you want blu-ray go sony, if you want HD-DVD go 360. 360 is alot cheaper. Sony need to be real careful. Once people see that the PS3 is not more powerful than 360, and they don't want to pay more for blu-ray they will turn to 360 or Wii. I can't see PS3 wining this war. Sorry. 360 has a to big a head start, is cheaper, bigger games libary and will have some killer apps comming soon. I don't think many people will be able to buy both systems as they are too expensive. Maybe a Wii and a PS3 or 360. However, if Blu-ray takes off then this is the cheapest way to get one. To me this is Sonys biggest ace in the hole.
Yea, microsoft lied about a bunch of things aswell... 1st. Xbox360 has 6 threads, but not all threads will be used for gameing, like the PS3, the 360 will have one core out of the three cores reserved for the OS and the overal renderency of the console. The author of the thread did not mention that. 2nd. XBOX360 has half the cache and less than half the memory speed of the PS3. This will slow down the 360'S processor's. Once games will be useing more of the 360's processor, more memory will be needed, and when it's short, it will stress the processor. Lot's of things could be said about the graphics processing unit, but I'll save it for later. I still see PS3 winning the war, unless you did'nt turn on the news yesterday and saw how many people were trying to get the PS3, you should'nt say that, my god there were people shot and trampled over just for a PS3
Okay first off its not the power of the console that will win the war its Games..If some of you can remember the X-BOX was a better system than the PS2 but that didnt mean anything. Its video games people..As for Blu-Ray vs HD-DVD you can say it looks like Blu-Ray going to win that War because Porn companys back Blu-Ray.Porn is a 57 billion dollar a year biz so i think they have a very big say so. http://www.gamespot.com/news/6142519.html http://pcworld.com/article/id,125618-page,1/article.htm http://www.macworld.com/news/2006/05/02/pornhd/index.php?lsrc=mwrss
Eh, i don't understand, from what I see on gamespot, COD3 looks better on PS3...but not by a bunch -.-"
How anybody could think the ps3 is innovative is beyond me?? It is a black ps1 controller for god sakes. the sixaxis name and function is sad to say the least. Graphics on par with 360 and worst online features = teh lose.
The 360 cpu is not used for the os unless you are in dashboard other wise it dont even use a full thread. And if you hit the guide button it pauses the game so it dont matter either way. And 512m of shared ram is a major addvantage the 360 has over the ps3 along with online capabilities. Not that its worth bragging about but there were just as crazy lines for 360's and people were held at gunpoint and a gamestop was broken in to and all 360's were stolen.
We don't have to wait long to compare the PS3 and the 360. Why? Oblivion. And trust me, the PS3 will kill Oblivion on the 360, especially since it's nearly impossible to play Oblivion on a first-gen 360.
i would think it slightly unfair to compare obvilion and maybe say... fight night b/c they came out a while ago on the xbox 360, whereas game like cod 3 only just came out.
Trust you why... do you have inside sources? And why if it's nearly impossible to play on the 360 hasn't it been recalled? Can you list your sources for info? And lets not forget... yes, the PS3 has just been released after a year delay, but the game developers have still had the dev kits to work with the whole time.
