COD4, map pack region-locked...

Hi guys

I’m also one of the misfortunate of having bought the map pack and found it not working with my copy of COD4 ps3. Bough my copy of COD4 at a airport on my way home, being that its region free and that I was still in the EU….

Would just like to point out that I really can’t buy the map pack from a different region store since Sony has the payment methods linked to the country that you credit card is registered in.

So even If I have a UK version of the game, I can go in to the UK store and just buy the map since I cant register any payment method, You would need to have a credit card registered in the country of the PS store in question.

I understand if this was to stop people from different countries going in to say the US store and taking advantage of the low US currency, but as far as i can see that’s simply not possible.

Just makes region locking the map pack slightly pointless, and leaves people with different region games unable to get the pack at all.

So it's not a question that people “must” buy the same region map pack as the game, but a question of can't.
