Ive been lagging too. Not good. I know that when you die by grendade or air strike, it shows how you die. Thats the only new thing Ive noticed.
with the new cod4 patch you get new optimized servers and improvements to both the Sniper Rifles and Acog attachments (no delayed shots). also new Kill Cams, a Quick Mute option, and a recently met players list on the PlayStation Network. In my opinion its a little better.
lol a little? FINALLY A MUTE BUTTON! That is a major improvement than just listening to some people talk forever about nothing. I think it was on 360 for a while but its nice to have it here now.
Mute option rules. It seems like the sniper rifles have been improved a lot but they're still not perfect. Have they done anything with claymores? I hate it when someone walks through a my claymore and then blows me away. All in all 1.20 is an improvement but hopefully they will continue to tweak it. Perhaps when they release a new map they will have made further improvements.
What I find funny is that they held off releasing the PS3's cod4 patch until RB6:V2 was released, literally it came out on the same day as Vegas 2, and the 360 released the patch for COD4 a little over a month ago I believe. M$ and Sony had received the patch data at the same time. Kinda sad and annoying imo, to think that the patch would make the difference between people buying COD4 and Vegas 2, besides that I could have been playing the last few weeks before Rainbow without having to put up with all that crap. At least they finally fixed their major bug unlike some other games coughwarhawkcough...

from what I have also found it stops people from cheating. I google cod4 ps3 cheats and apparrently people have found a way to cheat like unlimited ammo, see through walls, never die and stuff. This was supposed to stop it and with the hex editor. I dont know if its true or not. but there is a discussion on it at inifintywards site about people complianing about the cheaters. Yes I do mean the PS# version not the PC.
Yeah I found that out the night before the patch.... That sucked.... I wondeed why so many people where so damn good....
yeah i saw that sumin like 2million kills, he kills sumin like 82 people before he dies. so he been cheating then big time i take it
I love hacking as much as the next person, but I hate people that try to hack a good game. I think people like that should be banned for life from COD4.
Agreed, get em out of there. Has the patched fixed it for good or can they still cheat. It think I have seen a few people with colored names since the patch came out. Is that the only way to tell if someone is cheating? I would think that they would want to disguise themselves rather than say "here I am, I suck at this game so now I'm gonna walk through walls."
