If you can use cb92 and original pal game on a pal ps2, it means that your modchip does not perform a bypass disc check with eject button press detection. The modchip has to work in order for pal ps2 load ntsc disc. If you know which modchip you have, you might want to check if the wire solder to the eject button pin is install correctly. It's usually label as "rst" or reset. However, if you didn't do the install, you might want to go back to the place you buy from and ask them about it. Do another simple test. Power up your ps2 without any disc, after getting to the system menu, eject the tray and insert the backup disc to see if you can load the disc. The answer is most likely no. If you already know which modchip you have, you can put backup disc in the ps2 first, power up and boot cb92 from memory, select cheat and launch game that is inside the tray already. You will need to dig up the instruction for your modship on this.
I thought I got a Matrix Infinity, but in fact I have a modbo4 chip, with the Matrix Infinity firmware.. THen, I presume presume that my chip enter in sleep mode after the boot, but I'v tryed to boot from the CB9.2 elf in dev2 mode (R1 key when the elf is in mc0/boot/BOOT.elf), but the problem is the same
The modbo4 chip does have a rst pin. The chip feature did mention that it support multi-disc game. As last resort, check the soldering from the rst pin to system board to make sure it is at right spot.
Dude... I have the same issue... I own a similar PS2 Machine... I don't know my ModChip... I was using a GlobalWar thing by windrider mentioned here on this forum but no go... could you share wid me the method to run it off a USB Pen drive? do share thpoughts/experience here: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/514897
It worked for me, i dont know what kind of modchip i have on my ps2, i bought it modified already. this is how i did it... 1. Copied BOOT.ELF on my flash drive 2. Turn On the PS2 with ULaunchElf bootdisk & My Flash Drive 3. Created a folder named BOOT then copied the BOOT.ELF from my flash drive to the PS2 Memory Card, (BOOT/BOOT.ELF) 4. Browsed for the BOOT.ELF on the PS2's Mem Card and pressed O (default for OK) 5. It restarted then CODEBREAKER is running smoothly 6. Browsed for a game (God Of War), applied all cheats (by pressing X on the game title) 7. Then pressed START, it prompted me to change my game disk 8. I got my backed up game "God of War" 9. Closed the lid and pressed X 10. PS2 Restarted automatically 11. Played GOD OF WAR as a GOD, cheats enabled.... It worked fine for me, it kinda sucks that i need to give up 2mb of my ps2 memory card for the BOOT.ELF just to load it thru ULaunchELF. But i have an idea, why not burn the codebreaker BOOT.ELF on the ULaunchELF bootdisk, together on a single cd-r. That might solve everything. I'll do the same for Action Replay, Gameshark, etc.. maybe emulators and such too so i'll have the Disk of God. hehe.. what do you think guys? lets try it.. holla ~Flipzo
btw i forgot, could somebody give me the link to the latest Codebreaker, ArMax, Gameshark, etc... so life here could faster here.. tnx...
When i was loading Codebreaker from the ULaunchELF screen, it restarted my PS2, then i waited for like 5-10 seconds, then the Codebreaker screen appeared, then it works flawlessly. What do you mean by going god damn slow? is it when you're playing the game already or when you're browsing thru the codebreaker? if its the game why not trying another game or lessen the cheats...
I mean, when the Codebreaker screen comes when I have booted it from the MC, it goes very slow through it and then it gets stuck when it has loaded the whole screen >_>
I didnt experienced that, mine's working very fine. I loaded it using ULaunchELF, the boot.elf is on my memcard now, havent tried loading it thru a cd.maybe loading it thru the flash disk will work too,i'll try it later. Like just place the BOOT.ELF on my flash disk and load it from there using ULaunchELF, why not try it now.. i downloaded the BOOT.ELF from the rapidshare link that someone posted on this thread...
Ah, you can download the CB from Flash USB too, right? Okay, I downloaded that ELF from that link and now I try it again...
Don't give up man, i found the solution, its the Flash Disk... do this.. * Copy the BOOT.ELF on the PS2 Memory Card * Unhook the Flash Disk from the PS2 * Reboot PS2 with the ULaunchELF bootdisk * browse to your ps2 memory card and select BOOT.ELF * Wait for it to load This will solve the problem. Make sure that after rebooting your ps2, the FlashDisk is unhooked, it slows down really bad if the flash disk is hooked because maybe its not compatible, check this out.. http://forums.cmgsccc.com/showthread.php?t=278 list of compatible Flash Disks. Let me know if this helped.. ~Flipzo
I have the same problem and I have too ps2 slim with matrix infinity 1.9.1 @Flipzo If you load the codebreaker from memory card with the ulaunch disk inside the PS2 at the moment that you need to insert the backup DVD the PS2 will not read the backup game :S. Please correct we is this is wrong.
I have matrix infinity and it's working perfect with codebreaker.Just need to block three sensors.Put codebreaker in ps2,turn on ps2, wait...When the screen shows up choose cheats, press start game and now the codebreaker cd will stop.Put out codebreaker. And then put in originl game if you have it, wait until the dvd spins and than fast put out original game and fast put burned dvd game in ps2.Click continue and that's it.It's simple.Soon i'll make a video how to do that on youtube.com How to block three sensors you have it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZnXvIUHcQo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJwiu6Lhbc0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtbM1Jum0aI
Is it just me or does everybody experiance that for all games there only (say about, out of a game that has 100+ cheats ex:gt4) about 2 or 3 cheat actually work. I,m using cbv9.2 cracked-launchelf 3.41- and HDLoader_0.8b_GOW2.ELF. Am i the only one or is that normal cause of hdloader
um.. i got a problem, i can load cb and all well.. but i have to use u-launch and select the cb everytime.., i can't just reset the ps2, hold R1, for the booting to work... anyone kno why? I did do the BOOT/BOOT.ELF but doesn't work.
