    I would suggest that people avoid installing codec packs.

    Because they install lots of crap that you don't need and tend to screws things up. Much better just to install what you actually need.

    Kinda like carpet bombing vs. a sniper.

    i'd generally agree, but for this mega pack i've had no problems and haven't read bad things about it anywhere yet..
