    Hi,
what codec packs do I need for Windows XP Home Edition?
I have already installed ffdshow, I know there are others like klite and Nimo.
Which others should I install, and is it possible that different packs may cause conflict?
Also, is there just one version of ffdshow or several?

    Thanks in advance

I have VLC for playback, but need the codecs for encoding.
I install K-9 in addition to ffdshow?

    Thanks

Download the individual codecs you need and install them.
The only "installed" codecs I have are XviD and Huffy - I use both in VirtualDub.

I see I have K-9 and ffdshow installed on my other XP so I will do same with this one.
I have ffdshow installed already, should I install the K-9 standard or Mega in your opinion?
I do a bit of encoding, and DVD authoring.

    Thanks again...

Yup, installed ffdshow first, then installed K-lite, it had me UN-install ffdshow.

    Thanks again
