Codecs needed

    I need to know waht codecs I need to play just about anything with windows media player and so forth?

    To play just about anything then you need just about all of them.
    ffdshow can decode most common stuff though. You need more than just codecs for playback though. You also need splitters to handle different containers, avi, mpg, ogm, mkv, dsm, etc.

    Installing the k-lite codec package will let you handle practically every file out there....
