I am getting a message that says Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file. How can fix this so that I can Play it?

thanks for getting back to me so quickly. However it didn't work either. it says that at least 1 file cannot be converted.
What file are you trying to play? It can be a corrupted one. usualy, if it is missing a codec, when you right click on the file in Madia Player, it tells you what codec you need. Or it could be a file that Windows Media player cannot play, you might need Quick Time Player for example, or something else. Do you have Nero? If you do, try opening it with Nero Show Time.
