Can someone help me;My laptop dose not have a male serial port, so I got a Belkin USB/Serial Adapter. That way I would be able to download the lastest bin file and install it directly to my Fta box. The problem is, when I open the software to install the new bin, it says my adapter is on Com Port 5. When i try to set my computer to com port 5, it only allows me to reset from com ports 1-4
ok this is what i done go to my computer-view system info-hardware-device manager-ports(com+lpt)find the usb serial and change to port 1,2,3,or4 if you cant find the usb there look in usb serial bus controllers
