i have multiple files that i want to combine and play on a dvd player. the files were originally .mkv, i converted them and used DVDShrink to reauthor the files. Apparently the receiver of the DVD can't play those files on their player. It appears their player can only read .avi files. any suggestions? thanks in advance.

    Hi
Nero Vision can re-code your files for you into an image file that will play on a DVD player. It's not free but they have a free 2 week trial so you could see if its suitable before you pay-out

What does that mean? "the receiver of the DVD"

DVD Shrink produces DVD compiant output that should play in normal DVD players.
