    Hi,

I demuxed an MPEG 2 file, and since I thought I didn't need the source file anymore, I deleted it. Now it turns out I do need the MPEG file with both audio and video back, because the DVD authoring application I'm using refuses to create DVDs larger than 8.99 GB (I know it won't fit on a DL DVD, but I'm going to shrink it later with DVDShrink.) Because of this I need to edit out a piece of the file.

How can I put the m2v and ac3 files back together and recreate the original mpeg file?

What you are trying to do is remux the files.
To do this open up TempgENC and go to FILE > MPEG TOOLS.
Then select whichever mpeg format you wan to use (mpeg 1 , 2 ect)
Open up the video file as video and the audio file as audio and let it mux them togeter. This shouldnt take that long to do since you are not re encoding on remuxing.
    Hope this helps!
