I have a 3 hr+ film in two parts on two DVD-R discs.

What I'd like to do is use dvd shrink to copy these to a directory and compress them to fit onto a single DVD-R. What I've gotten so far are two sets of .VOB and other files, the ones from the second DVD had to be renamed. When I try to use dvd shrink, it just reads in the files from the first disc.

Is there a way to manipulate / rename the files from the 2nd disc so that dvd shrink reads all the files for compression?

Have tried searching fro prior posts, but have been unable to find info on this topic - maybe just too dumb to ask the right question...

    Thanks for that pointer.

What I really want is to learn a little more about the interelationships of the files that make up a DVD: the .IFO .BUP and .VOB files. Any reccomended reading links?

    TIA,
