I've searched through the threads and couldn't find anything specific if I missed it or posted this in the wrong section I apologize.

    So here's the question:
I have a Motorola Comcast DVR Box DCT6416 III and my hard drive is almost full of episodes. Now I was wondering if there was any way of backing up my episodes onto my computer so I don't have to delete them or lose them. There is a USB and Audio/Video Jacks in the front but I don't know if I can do anything like this or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated, so thanks in advance. If you need anymore information just let me know.

I believe the only way to save them is to capture them in real time. Which means connect your output (S-Video) to a pc capture card, or a DVD recorder (which is the easiest way to go - phillips brand at walmart works great). The only thing, it will be in SD not HD.

I have ran into the same problem with my setup.
    good luck with it.
