I hope that someone can help me. I have an old compaq presario SR132oNX and it was working fine. All of a sudden the monitor just went blank. When you try to restart it, the hard drive light stays on all the time and it beeps constantly. I replaced the video card, nothhing so i put it back. I tried a different ram stick, same thing so I put the old one back in, hooked up to another hard drive, nothing. No matter what i do I can get no out put other then beeping. Is this a bad mother board do you think or is there something that I am overlooking? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
If it beeps constantly then your CPU or maybe motherboard is bad. Try a different CPU or motherboard to make sure.
how many beeps? long or short beeps the beep is a message from yout motherboard telling you what is wrong google 'motherboard beep'

I took the hard drive out and just booted up another computer but thanks for all the url addresses and input
