Hi guys , i recently bought myself a 2nd-hand hard modded xbox. I mainly got it to play emulators and Karaoke revolution! The xbox is already set up with evox , xbmc and dvd2xbox. I've started reading through the forums to get a better understanding of this stuff, but im getting even more confused. So im hoping someone can point me in the right direction (threads to read, noob guides etc) Not sure if it matters but the chip is an xecuter 2 lite, the dash is Evo-x +3935 and the bios is reported as unknown. Im really confused about all the different partitions/folders on the harddrive. XBMC file manager shows up c: e: f: d: g: q: while boXplorer shows up an extra 2 drives x: and y: , but not q:. Then to confuse me even more, system settings (from the dash) shows the drives as c,e,f,g,x,y,z. Is this normal? There's also several folders that seem to be related to networking : called xnmsp, xns, smb etc. What I can work out so far , c: drive holds the original xbox information, e: drive holds game info etc. f: drive holds the main games , files etc, but i've yet to work out the other drives or why they are reported differently depending on the program used. And help would be really appreciated, even just a link to a relevant basic guide would be a good start. Thank you in advance! D81
"And help would be really appreciated..." Sorry , that's meant to read *Any help* not "And help..". I'm not sure how to edit the original post? D81
well ill put it simple. the main 2 drives u should really use 4 ur own stuff is E:/ and F:/, for ur games u say. other than that, i think u can store stuff in them but there is no reason. and the reason some prgrams show different drives like q:/ etc. is because it is part of the program, and it may create that drive for you if u put something in there. but like i said, the 1 and only drive i use is E:/ , and u can use F:/ for ur games. hope that helped a lttle bit.
