Complete Novice looking for guidance!!

    Hey lads and ladies,

    Am i'm a complete novice at this cable business but i think its the way to go for the moment cause of encryption changing on satellites so often...

    I was wondering if a got a second hand chorus/ntl aerial and a starview box will they work??

    I have been looking in the past threads and have become more confused so please help!!!...........

    u would have to have a basic package from provider to work and if u got a starview or other box it would need to be updated to newest firmware to use.

    OK thanks,

    i'm in ireland so what would be the best box to buy if i dont want to spend too much money...

    If you`re on ch***s mmds, then the Eur0vox - TX would probably be your best bet. (DVB -T boxes)

    If you`re on n*l or ch***S cable, then any of the starview, eurov0x, digivox etc will do. (DVB - C boxes).

    ah i'm not connected yet but i'm guessing it will be mmds cause i'm in the countryside... so is there any diagram or photos i can see of this set up for the eurovox etc... Thanks by the way...
