I have the latest version of nero burning rom 5.5. Usually i do not change any settings, i simply add all my edited and stripped files into the vide_ts folder after selecting the video file section and burn. The copy only plays in my computer. Is there a setting i must change. HELP! Thanx alot riksworld

i have tried the latest version and it does not do the dvd`s correctly on my dvd burner

i use version 5.9 i think and the settings i use are:

    Template Dvd --> Dvd Video

Turn everything off, and select ISO Level 1, and iso 9660, Otherwise you'll end up with a DVD that'll play on a PC, but not on a dedicated player

this allways works for me, hope it helps

Lots of people r reporting problems with nero.

I also use nero 5.5.9.17 and have no problems.
    (that is it`s ability)

The general concencus is to :
    Select udf/iso option.
    uncheck joliet
    check iso level 2
    select udf physical partitioning 1.02
    put disc name if required.
    select new
    make 2 folders (in uppercase,important)
    VIDEO_TS/AUDIO_TS
drag all your files into VIDEO_TS

    Burn away.
This has been successful 98% of the time for me.
    Give it a go.

    BIGT1561,

What PRECISE version of Nero are you using (I use 5.5.9.0) a previous version 5.5.8.2 did not work for me.

One quick and dirty alternative is to make a disc "Image" then burn.

Only earlier this week, I burnt (Nero) a set of VOBs on a Datawrite media. It played on my PC and settop, but not the PS2.

Made an Image (Used Imgtool) then burned using DVD Factory. Worked on PS2 OK (and the others).

Give it a try. I do believe the latest version of Ifoedit can burn an image.

When you use nero to get better compliance with stand alone player ensure that you burn in the UDF format. This has worked in every stand alone player I have tried.

I would agree with you on that one, but think he has more basic problems to consider first.
