Im new at this so bear with me!

I just converted an AVI file in Canopus ProCoder Express and created a Video_TS catalogue from which I tried to burn in NERO Express.

Before I get to burn the DVD i get the message "DVD Video compliance test failed...."

I can still burn the dvd, but not play it when its finished.

    What have I done wrong?

(Which tools is recomended TMPGeng and TMPG dvd author or ProCoder)

    Hi elangsru,

You cannot just convert a video file to MPEG, put it into a VIDEO_TS folder and expect your player to accept it. Along with the MPEG/VOB file, your player expects some IFO and BUP files. You need a DVD Authoring tool to create those files. For instance TMPGEnc DVD Author or NeroVision Express (part of Nero 6).

    I know.

Procoder makes vob, ifo bup files ready in the video_ts catalogue from either a mpeg, avi or what ever video format.

I asumed I just had to burn these file in Nero (DVD mode)

Indeed, if you have the VOB, IFO and BUP files and you put them into a DVD-video compilation in Nero, it should work, unless ProCoders makes something wrong in those files.

What you could try is authoring the disc with NeroVision Express (NVE):
    - launch NVE (it's shipped with Nero 6)
    - select "Make new DVD / DVD-Video"
    - import your VOB files
    - click Next a few times
    - wait for NVE to burn the disc.

You will lose your DVD menu (if you made one with ProCoder).
