Basically, I am essentially trying to connect a Nintendo Wii through component cables to my monitor to view at 480P HD.

However, my monitor has 1 DVI port and 1 VGA port.

Is there any way to convert component cables to DVI so I can play the console on HD??

I have done lots of research and here are a few items that seem to do the trick, but I am not sure...

Can you guys please tell me if these items are appropriate for what I am trying to do and give me some advice and help please???

Should I instead convert the component cables to the VGA port?? What is the difference?? Help??!

sorry, i don't now how to do that, but you said 480 hd, like your monitor has 480 hd. well if thats the reason you are doing this, i might suggest you to just use a regular tv, because 480 is not hd, its the standard resolution of all tvs. tvs that are 480 are the ones that are NOT high defination.
