Can someone advise me of the max number of Songs you can burn to a CD and will it play in cd player in car or stereo player, and suggest the program to complete this task please?

I am assuming you are using an mp3 HD CD player. If are not, you can safely put 70 minutes on to a CD or about 20 tunes.

It is all about fidelity (bit rates)
If you use a 700 m format, you can get about 120 3 minute tunes if the bit rate was 320, and almost 200 at 128. The fidelity of 128 is about all you can expect from a great car sterio. HD radio is 90. Non HD CD players will sound like FM 70 BR. After a while and HD (90 BR) you can't listen to the old radio style CD players without cringing.

If you are only going to use them for the car you can use Media Monkey to do it all. If you might play them on an MP3 player you need to rip with something like EAC it also has a free version. No one has ever posted a problem using media Monkey to burn a disk. Use it!
