hi i would like to know if there's a program out there that can compress mp3 files so i can put more songs on mp3 player and a video compressor for avi mpg to put on dvd-r.it doesnt have to be freeware just any software that can help me.THANKS in advance
I don't recommend re-compressing your mp3 files. Anytime you convert a lossy file to another lossy file (mp3 to mp3), there is serious quality loss. if you ripped your mp3s from CDs, you are much better off to re-rip them at a lower bitrate. but if you must recode them, you can use dBPowerAMP, which is an excellent free audio converter utility http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm
