i was just making a back up of a dvd and out of the blue my computer just shut down. the screen went black. Now i turn on my computer's power, i see the hp screen and then the screen remains black. i have made many back ups before and this has never happened. any advice? has this ever happened before?
Sounds like your computer might be overheating.Try opening up your case and setting a fan close by to see if that is the problem.If you have a laptop then you can get cooling pads to remedy your problem.
One time I had my monitor going for about 2 months straight (after a good few hrs of turning completely right ... ie; not on standby = worked fine again) Not saying that is your problem , but you're gonna have to fault find for yourself on this as we are all gonna be 2nd guessing your probs :c|-~
