i have an external HD that i use for my computer. is there some way [ANY WAY]i can take my ext HD and connect it to my XBOX ? and if i can, is there some way i can put a movie program on there and watch the movies from the HD ?
I don't think you could use a External HDD on the XBOX™. As the XBOX™ only make use of 4x USB1.1 (a.k.a the Gamepad Ports), IIRC that's somthing like what 11 Mb/s (B=Byte's, b=bit's and 8-bit's make one Byte),. So it would be most unlikely for your to stream Movies Fast enough to the XBOX™ this way. If you wanted to make it Internal. Make sure that it's not much faster then 5400RPM's, the XBOX™ may not be a Slimline PS2! But, that doesn't mean M$ have wasted Space inside the XBOX™ I had a 7200RPM Drive overheat and die on me, and I can tell you that's not fun at all! If I was you I'd consider gettins an Xtender Casemod. This will rase the Roof on your XBOX™, which will allow you to add up to Two more HDD's inside your XBOX™ It'll also allow your XBOX™ to breath more allowing for better Air Cooling on the HDD's. This is also a good investment if you like Live! as you almost never have to touch you Stock Drive and so long as your Chip is turned off you almost guaranteed not to get banned off Live!™.
