My machine is freezing up. System restore won't restore to an earlier point. My AV progs(Comodo Internet Security, Malwarebytes.) won't comlete updates.

I can't find any problems in my HJT logs and Combo-fix has'nt solved my problems either, infact it won't un-install after I ran it.

I also got an error report when trying to run a scan w/Comodo that said my computer does'nt have enough resources to run the scan. ???

I've checked my memory, I have plenty of memory. What have I contracted here??? I hate to re-format my machine, and hope that I don't have to, but I've tried everything I can think of. I really need some excellent advice.

    Thanks 1,000,000 in advance.

    1. Go offsite to upgrade your programs to a memory stick and reinstall.

    2. While you are offsite download a rootkit detector/remover. Rootkits may not be detected by your AV programs.

    Thanks for the reply.
That seemed to work (so far). No rootkits, I did run a rootkit revealer scan before my original post, I just forgot to mention it. All this crap started when I ditched AVIRA AV for COMODO INTERNET SECURITY, because COMODO BO CLEAN was discontinued and then integrated w/ their AV and Firewall.
I think I'm switching back to Avira. Do you know of any progs (free or not) that are comparable w/BO CLEAN ? I do run SpywareBlaster also, but they just dont seem to get the job done anymore. Maybe a host file prog ? Any suggestions ?
    Thanks again,
    Narcismo
