I can't hibernate or stand by. When my computer tries, it turns into a blue screen with a whole bunch of words. The first three words I can read is ,"A hardware..." the words are white.
Is there a solution to this?
    Thanx for your time...

Check windows security updates? I recall at least two or three standby/hibernate related critical fixes :)

Why would you want to do this anyway - unless it is a laptop??

You do realise that when you turn hibernate on you loose 1x or is it 2x the amount of ram you have in HD space as well as possibly a duplication of your scratchpad virtual memory...

So if you ever wondered why you suddenly have not much of your HD space left - hibernation is the first thing I kill. Followed by Virtual memory allocated HD space - 1GB or Ram is enough - why waste / ware out my HD? :)
