What could cause a computer monitor too all of sudden become blurry? If ya shut it off and restart the monitor its crystal clear and then becomes blurry again. I have dual montor support on my nvidia card. The monitor is blurry while the older 10 yr old isnt....so I doubt its the vid card. Plz help:>

that is it. don't even play with it as there is 20,000 plus volts in there even when turned off. take it to a repair place for a free(?) estimate on cause of problem & fix on problem.

Okay ddp thanks. So that is the problem or for some reason it went out of adjustment. Cause its holding for bout 24 hrs continous use with no problems after i fiddled with the two knobs till it was clear. Hmm that sounded dirty...hahah! Ahh and its not only a transformer, but it is also a capacitor too huh? Hmmm....well I will see if it starts to act up again. There isnt really any electronic repair places round here except the half assed geek squad at best buy..lol. Thanks though...as always yeah are a big help. If I ever see ya in person remind me to take ya to dinner.:>

Radio Shack will repair them as well.

But, before you do...there is a Degauss option in your monitor's controls...give that a shot.

There's a technical reason they call that the flyback transformer...but, like ddp mentioned...touch that, and you'll have another reason to call it that!

For a hefty price, unfortunately, Radio Shack will repair 'any' electronic device.

yes & no in that they send their stuff to 1 place to get fixed so radioshack is just a middleman.

Ahh so they like the geek squad...bunch of thieves huh?

I remeber the one day over at best buy. THis guy had a overheating issue with his comp. The geek opens and tell's the poor guy..."Oh...well its 60 for diagnostic and 35.00 for the cpu fan and 35.00 to replace the cpu fan" I look over at them and I see the cpu fan is unplugged. I go up to the guy and asked if he mind if canhave a crack at it. The guy says"sure" So I walked over and plugged the fan in....mysteriously the fan kicked right in. LOl! To this day I am not allowed in best buy...LOL! And they were pissed, but the owner of the comp calls me every once in a while to weed something out for him..lol! :>

i guess the geek squad aren't as computer geeky as they want you believe or they were going to scam the guy for $130 when fan just needs to be plugged in.
